This is a strange game that Im working on for a competition. heres some pics and an early demo.

For the demo you need this version of direct x 9.0c.

Heres the demo. Many bugs have since been fixed and Ill update the demo soon.

Instructions
LEt me know about the performance an bugs. Known issues 1. The blood portion goes a bit strange and replays(Im working on it) 2. The camera goes through the floor and top. (I know Havent worked on that yet) 3). The memory game is a buggy at times. Resolved just not updated in this demo
Its still early and needs loads of work. I pretty interested in performance and your comp specs. Right now Im running it at 640x480 If it performs good enough Ill make it 800x600. Controls Right mouse click and move mouse to move.
(when in Memory game) Right mouse click advances turns(use right not left) Left mouse click to select button. (when not in game)
Space bar to put out food. Becareful Hold left mouse to drag fish.
Click left mouse on fish to orient it to you. Keep clicking on fish to make him come to you.
Rules: Complete memory game to charm a fish. Bigger fish eat smaller fish unless charmed. Charmed fish eat killer fish.(buggy) Charmed fish turn regualr fish into charmed fish If 2 charmed fish hit they reproduce a charmed fish. The last one will be revamped to produce a super fish. The same will happen with killers(produce Super killers)
Blue=regular fish Red=killer Yellow with star=charmed
New game to be added. Launching killers Im still thinking on this but it will involve launching the killer fish 3d(using some type of puzzel element) The game is just unbalanced and thats what Im working on for now.
Levels being added(starting with less fish) Tutorial ingame. Several mini games Mouse and memory bugs fixed. Sprites and graphics being updated

Just to add, the update will be much much improved. This is just a general(Skeleton) of how the game will function. The main task was to make 100 objects move in 3d space, update, and interact. Now that I have that working I can start polishing and cleaning up the game and adding new elements for balance. Ive got some pretty twisted minigames in mind for this one.

Well I just checked the link MR-p Its working fine. Try again or a different browser and let me know if it works or what error your missing. The game has grown lots since this demo Im just not ready to put up the new demo yet

Very weird, I just tried it now, and it worked perfectly. Must just have been a big traffic time on that server. Anyway I will try it out as soon as I can and see how it is.

Heres some new screens. Additions. Smoother gameplay (bugs fixed) New sprites More/better textures Bonus bar added
The bonus bar moves as you are repeating the sequence if you hit your buttons when its in the middle you get a score bonus. This is quite distracting and challenging to try to remember the sequence and get the bonus. THE PICS!

That demo you have is pretty out dated. I have a much better smoother bug fixed version in a few days.

Well as far as the blood animation system Im going to trade it for a comic book style Bite jagged balloon at the site of the attack. I would fix the blood system as is but it chews resources and is a bit of over kill for this particular game. BTW I did try the particle route but I really wasent happy with the results. Since Im limited on time Im going to do the balloon thing. 2 days 3 max for a new demo.

Theres an update on the main Bad Temper games page http://badtempergames.tripod.com with a link to the final version of Fish Charming. That includes updated graphics etc... It take quite a while to load. I didnt win the comp but I had fun making it.
